Born and raised in Page County, Virginia, I’ve lived a life deeply rooted in agriculture, animal husbandry, and the cowboy way. My passion for horses and the equine lifestyle started in 1993 and has only grown stronger with time.
A Journey of Passion and Expertise
My first equine job at Jordan Hollow Stables (2010–2012) sparked a lifelong love for working with horses. Leading public trail rides introduced me to the joy of sharing the equestrian experience with others. During this time, I had the privilege of learning from renowned local horseman and trainer James “Petey” Wright of the Flying W Ranch. Petey’s mentorship inspired me to pursue horse training and education in the cow horse industry.
Under Petey’s guidance, I honed my skills over many years, from starting 2-year-old horses under saddle to finishing well-trained, disciplined horses ready for any challenge. My work at Skyline Stables (2012–2014) further developed my ability to connect with both horses and people, training in backcountry and mountainous settings while sharing my knowledge with guests from all walks of life.
My journey took me west to Oklahoma, where I attended the Oklahoma State Horseshoeing School. This experience deepened my understanding of equine care and expanded my skill set, preparing me to deliver exceptional equestrian experiences.
